After spending years as a passionate student of the guitar, Andrew Rzeszutek realized that he
was destined to make a career out of working with the instrument.
In the fall of 2000, Andrew was offered a chance to move to Calgary to apprentice
under nationally respected luthier Miles Jones. As the owner of Fretworks, one
of Calgary's premiere guitar repair shops, Jones has built a reputation as one
of Canada's most capable guitar technicians for over two decades.
During his time in Calgary, Andrew was able to learn from Jones' experience,
honing his abilities in maintenance, repair, and restoration of fretted
instruments, applying his knowledge to a wide variety of repair, maintenance,
and instrument construction projects. After completing his apprenticeship with
Jones, Andrew returned to Winnipeg, founding Guitar Solutions.
Quickly building his list of customers, Andrew was also hired to repair
instruments for Guitar World, a music shop based in Transcona which would
later be renamed The Music People.
To date, Andrew has worked on hundreds of instruments, addressing all variety
of concerns for a wide range of musicians, including some of Winnipeg's most
well-known performers.
